We aim to provide a warm, professional, compassionate and supportive space where you and your child/adolescent can feel seen, heard, understood and valued. We walk alongside people facing life's unexpected challenges, and changes, supporting them to navigate emotions, grief and loss, stress, disability or chronic illness.
Through a strengths-based, compassion focused and exsitential approach, we support people to understand their emotions and thoughts, find meaning and understanding, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, rediscover hope and move forward with courage.
Still Waters understands and respects each person’s unique journey. Sessions focus on supporting emotional healing, rebuilding inner strength, and helping discover new possibilities and wellbeing.
Drawing on over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, together with her counsellor training, Adele has a natural and genuine ability to build trusting relationships with others and her lived experience of grief and loss brings understanding and compassion. Adele also understands the unique challenges families and carers face today. As the mother of a son with a genetic disability, Adele brings personal insight into the joys, complexities and emotional demands of caring for a child/adult with additional needs, allowing her to offer genuine empathy, understanding and compassionate support.
With Adele's extensive experience as an OT, she has an indepth knowledge and skills working alongside children/adolescents who have a physical disability or diagnosed as neurodivergent, including Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing, Specific Learning Disorders and Intellectual Disability.
